All successful real estate companies have great, eye-catching real estate logos. Both online and offline it is the first thing you see that represents it's company and it has been proven time and time again how important first impressions are. This article reveals the results of a survey on the effectiveness of the top real estate logos.
Remax logo
The Re/Max company, a leading realty franchise, has a few logos. They all bear the re/max red and blue name with the same bold font. Most people think that Remax has the most catchy logo because it is simple, effective and to the point.
While the colors subtly inspire a sense of patriotism, overall the strength in their logo is its' clarity. No one has any doubts at all what this company does or what their name is from even a brief glance at the Re/max logo.
The ERA logo
Irritatingly similar to the Re/max logo is ERA's very similar logo. They too employ the same patriotic color scheme and use of a house-shaped graphic, which works pretty well for them. Just like with Re/max, this brokerage network has had no complaints with their logo. It has likely served them well.
Century 21 logo
The Century 21 logo is quite likely the most recognizable of the bunch because it has been used much more often than any other franchises' logo. It has always featured their version of a house wrapping around their name, but the choice of colors has varied many times over the years. Despite that, the bolded fonts, the layout, and everything else is the same so it has always been a very effective logo.
Coldwell Banker logo
The Coldwell Banker real estate logo is a blue square with white writing. Many people say that whenever they scan through a page, the blue Coldwell Banker caught their eyes every time whereas other real estate logos might not. The bright blue color stands out and the design is simple. The logo is subtle while reading because it appears to be in only one color even though it's actually two when you notice the color of the letters. This may or may not have a subliminal effect on the viewer.
Imperium Realty logo
Trying harder than usual to stand out from the others, Imperium Realty is very different in that it has a picture of a Lion's head in it. In fact, they have thrown away all of the common elements in real estate logos, and gone with the very different color scheme of Red and Gray. It is an interesting image that perhaps suggests nobility and pride... Although the colors make it the least likely to jump out when viewing it side-by-side with the others on a page.
The Weichert Realtor logo
The brightest logo award goes to Weichert Realty, formerly Beazley, Inc. Although their road signs are more than quite noticeable, one would suspect that their ads in the Yellow pages would be not effective at all.
Another concern about Weichert's logo is that many who were surveyed said that it was the most annoying sign by far, and the yellow was clearly too strong. Plainness was also noted repeatedly, but clearly 2nd to the brightness aspect. This is a case where they brightness annoys people into remembering the logo, so it is likely that they could have been much better off with a different logo.
